TULSA AREA DIRECTOR

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma (BBBSOK) creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. As one of the leading youth-serving organizations in the state, BBBSOK is committed to helping young people realize their full potential through meaningful, professionally supported mentoring relationships.

We are seeking an energetic, results-driven leader to serve as our Tulsa Area Director. This position is responsible for leading local fundraising efforts, cultivating community partnerships, supporting volunteer recruitment, and serving as the primary ambassador for BBBSOK throughout the Tulsa region. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship builder, fundraiser, and community leader who is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and achieving measurable results.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Tulsa Area Director serves as the lead representative for BBBSOK in the Tulsa market. This individual is responsible for generating revenue, expanding community engagement, strengthening strategic partnerships, and supporting local program growth. Salary will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated fundraising success.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising & Resource Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.

  • Manage and lead local fundraising events, including the annual gala and Bowl for Kids’ Sake.

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate partners, and community supporters.

  • Build and maintain relationships with local foundations and funding organizations including United Way.

  • Maintain accurate donor records and engagement activities within the organization's CRM system.

Volunteer Recruitment

  • Support strategic recruitment efforts to increase the number of volunteers, youth, and families served.

  • Partner with program staff to ensure recruitment initiatives align with agency growth goals.

  • Promote BBBSOK's mission and impact throughout the Tulsa region.

Board & Volunteer Leadership

  • Recruit, engage, and support members of the Tulsa Resource Board and fundraising event committees.

  • Facilitate effective local resource board engagement.

Leadership & Administration

  • Provide leadership and supervision for Tulsa-area staff.

  • Collaborate with statewide leadership to support organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of BBBSOK.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of three years of successful fundraising, sales, business development, nonprofit leadership, or related experience.

  • Demonstrated success building relationships and securing financial support from individuals, corporations, or community partners.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet ambitious goals.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems. Experience with Salesforce a plus.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Tulsa region.

  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for BBBSOK events and community engagement activities.
